Mrs. Jazilyn Kersh grew up in the small town of Macomb, Illinois, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, to attend Grand Canyon University. She graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Graphic Design, originally planning for a career in the medical field. However, after stepping into the classroom, Mrs. Kersh discovered a true passion for teaching and now loves helping students grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. As an English teacher, she strives to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and develop their skills. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Kersh is the head coach of the HPW softball team. She loves working with student-athletes, fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the field.
